Especially designed for use during the emergency shut-down (ESD) of gas turbines, valve type KVH features highest reliability in regards to safe quick shut-down. The corresponding design features adapted to this specific application guarantee optimised closing times significantly below 1 second and allow switching of high differential pressures  whereby absolute valve tightness is guaranteed in usual manner.

The quick-closing valve is actuated by a pneumatic actuator with a solenoid control valve. Automatic quick-closing is carried out by the installed spring force in less than 1 second. The valve cone with soft sealing element guarantees absolute tightness (leakage rate A in acc. with EN 12266-1).
