QUICK-CLOSING VALVE
TYPE KVII/F

Being part of the proven KÜHME high-performance valve series for industrial applications, the valve type KVII/F is used in any application area for which the quick and safe shut-off of process steam is required. The electro-pneumatically controlled quick-closing valve sets standards in regards to service life and reliability even in the most demanding applications.

Function
The quick-closing valve is actuated by a pneumatic actuator with a solenoid control valve. Automatic quick-closing is carried out by the installed spring force in less than 1 second. Absolute tightness (leakage rate A in acc. with EN 12266-1) is guaranteed long term by means of the specially machined valve cone and a 4/2-way control via solenoid valve.

Valve body: Globe valve body made of forged or cast steel
Seat sealing system: Metallically sealing valve cone made of stainless steel, valve seat cladded with stainless steel
Stem sealing: Stainless steel bellows with secondary sealing and test connection G 1/8
Actuator type: Integral KÜHME pneumatic piston actuator for linear movement with fail close function by means of spring force, controlled via electro-pneumatic  4/2-way solenoid valve
Process connection: Alternatively with welding ends or flange connection, both available in EN or ANSI design

  • Design, manufacturing and conformity assessment in acc. with PED with conformity declaration up to category III module H (optionally EC-individual approval to comply with the requirements for an equipment carrying safety function)
  • Closing time less than 1 second
  • Sealing system certified in acc. with Clean Air Guidelines (TA-Luft) / ISO 15 848-1
  • Valve optionally available in ATEX design
  • Valve optionally available in SIL design, certified SIL 2
  • Optionally available as quick-opening valve with set function fail open (see type KVII/FO)
