TYPE KVL

Petrochemical and chemical processes require a broad range in regards to the media resistance as well as the thermal application conditions. Due to its application-specific design, the valve type KVL offers a safe and reliable solution to shut-off process media even under most extreme conditions. Because of its extraordinary reliability, the valve is qualified for emergency shut-off application (ESD) as well. As a prerequisite for its use in refineries and petrochemical plants, this valve type guarantees absolute external tightness within systems certified in acc. with the Clean Air Guidelines (TA-Luft).

Function
The quick-closing valve is actuated by a pneumatic actuator with a solenoid control valve. Automatic quick-closing is carried out by the installed spring force in less than 1 second. Extremely low leakage rates up to absolute tightness (leakage rate A according to EN 12266-1) are achieved by means of specialized valve cone elements which are specifically adapted to the respective area of application.

Valve body: Globe valve body made of forged or cast steel, optionally made of stainless steel
Seat sealing system: Sealing systems adapted specifically to the application, optionally metallic sealing, soft sealing: PTFE, special high temperature compound, valve seat cladded with stainless steel
Stem sealing: Self-adjusting spring loaded packing system made of carbon-fibre reinforced pure graphite with secondary sealing and test connection G 1/8
Actuator type: Integral KÜHME pneumatic piston actuator for linear movement with fail close function by means of spring force, controlled via electro-pneumatic 3/2-way solenoid valve
Process connection: Alternatively with welding ends or flange connection, both available in EN or ANSI design
