Our quick closing safety shut-off valves with pneumatic actuator for gaseous application are able to be controlled by means of their own operating medium as well. With the KÜHME self-medium control feature our clients are independent from instrument air supply.
A typical application is e.g. the field of compressors, in which self-medium controlled quick closing valves are used as block valves for the suction and pressure side. In 2020 KÜHME repeatedly supplied these gas actuated valves for the precompression within a biogas plant in the state of Brandenburg. As an additional part of the project the order for the gas-controlled block valves for the main compression has been also awarded to KÜHME.
The smaller sized quick-opening valves, which are shown in the pictures as well, are utilized for the back-stream venting in between the block valve and the compressor and are also controlled with the operating medium biomethane.
