In addition to the well proven quick closing safety shut-off valves in standard design with actuator controlled by means of instrument air, the self-media operated quick closing valves are used in any application area for which the quick and safe shut-off of gaseous media as well as fuels is required, but auxiliary pneumatic energy for control is not available. As a fully pre-mountend and functional valve unit ready for installation, the self-media operated quick closing valve sets standard in regards to service life and reliability even in the most demanding applications.

OPERATION DETAILS
The self-media operated quick-closing valve is equipped with a piston actuator fully suitable to be applied with the geaseous operating medium. A special control system including gas filter, pressure regulator and safety relief valve (SBV) ensures that the operating medium, which is taken off upstream sided, is well conditioned in regards to purity as well as secures the required control pressure. At the same time the integrated safety relief valve avoids that the actuator will be overloaded by no means. As for the standard valve range the self-media operated quick-closing valve is directly controlled by means of a solenoid valve. Automatic quick-closing is carried out by the installed spring force in less than 1 second. The valve cone with soft sealing element guarantees absolute tightness (leakage rate A in acc. with EN 12266-1).
